Happy Holidays!

Sat Nov 28, 2009, 9:33 PM
Been quite some time since my last post on here. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and also hope you got your tummies full, I did! Another thing I'm lacking on doing is photo shoots, I know I'm slow on posting photos here but the zombie series from October was actually my last shoot :( been too long.. to be honest I don't really like this time of year, the cold weather makes me want to stay inside cuddled in blankets and I get lazy and un-inspired. I really want to change up my style and experiment more. I think I'm stepping away from the horror and gore type of photos for a while and going to start doing softer, prettier things before I completely scare away my viewers and they think I'm insane :P Hah.

Another thing I wanted to share with you guys is that I have a YouTube account where I have behind the scenes videos of some of my photo shoots. I haven't had a chance to do videos of my latest shoots but I hope to get a new one up soon of my next shoot.
My YouTube account is - [link]
I also have a Twitter you can follow me at. My updates aren't photography related, it's just personal but here's the link for that - [link]

Well, that's all I got to say for now :) Happy Holidays everyone!

4 Year Anniversary

Sat Jul 18, 2009, 2:50 AM
of being on deviantART as of yesterday :)

Made me think back to the first day I joined. This was the first art site I ever joined and it was also the reason I even started taking pictures, so I just want to thank you deviantART and all of the people I follow on here, you guys all inspired me and got me to where I am today.

I've been shooting and uploading a lot more here lately which feels great. I had taken almost a year break and it feels good to be creating again.

Anyways, you can check out my Flickr page I post more stuff there. I tend to only post shots I think are good enough here but you can see everything over at my other site. [link]

Goodnight!

Lazy Summer

Sun Jun 28, 2009, 11:19 PM
So i've been in Arizona for a month now.. all I can say is it's so freakin hot. I walk out the door and in five seconds I have already broken out in a sweat. And don't even think about walking outside without shoes on or i'll come back with like 3rd degree burns on my feet..lol. I guess that's my only complaint though. It feels nice to be in a new place and have a chance to start a new life.. which I really needed.

As far as taking pictures, I have nooo motivation what so ever. The heat doesn't help either. But today I finally made myself take pictures.. even if it was just silly snap shots or whatever, I made myself do it.

I start college in a couple of months.. I'm really scared. I still haven't even chosen a major or anything yet. :( I just don't know what I want to do. I'm starting to feel like I need to go for photography, like it's what I'm meant to do or something. I honestly can't see myself doing anything else. But I don't know. I hate having to make decisions. If it was up to me i'd do a little of everything.. be a doctor, photographer, astronaut, nascar driver, etc.. really I'm serious :P

Anyways.. that's about it. Not much going on. Except I'm in absolute love with the show True Blood. God it's amazing. Ok I'm ending this random journal now.

xoxo Kristen

Hello everyone! It's been months since I was last active on here.

I'm not sure if I mentioned here but I won't be going to California next year to that art school. I guess I had a change of life plans. I don't really know what i'm going to do as a career, but i'll be moving to Arizona with my family. And photography will always stay with me as a hobby and side job even. I'm going to enroll in a community college next week, and after I take my basics there i'll transfer to ASU. I guess I really thought about things and found that photography is really difficult to take on as a career and also that I feel more comfortable when im doing it as a hobby and personal kind of thing.

But anyways, I had ordered a camera remote from the wolf camera in december and have been waiting months for it and it's just now coming in so im going to pick it up tomorrow. And I had also lost my tripod mount and happened to find it in my messy room today. AAAAAND I found my reflector disc so YAY I can finally get back to taking pictures. Plus all the crazy things that have been going on have settled down and I think within the next month i'll have more time to do photos. I'm ready to start doing creative stuff again. I have to admit the past year my pictures have been pretty dull.. so I need to start getting ideas together.

Well other than that, my 18th birthday is coming up. April 12th. I feel like im growing up too fast. I'm going to miss being a carefree and irresponsible kid hahaha. I'm going to spend my birthday weekend at the casino :D and also at six flags with a friend. Should be fun.

Hope everyone is doing great, sorry for disappearing for so long.

New Camera :)

So I went and ordered my Canon 50D yesterday at Wolf Camera. It should be here on Wednesday. What's even better was that the price had went down $200 yesterday morning. :) Can't wait until it comes, hopefully ill get time to play with it before Friday when I leave to Arizona and go have my surgery on the 22nd.

But anyways, I really really need a wireless remote but im not sure which one because I really don't know anything about them and i've never used one. Does anybody know which ones are compatible with the 50D, wireless, not too expensive, and work well?

I need to get it ordered soon.

Thanks!

xoxo Kristen

PS; Anyone have Facebook? I just got one (don't know why) and need some friends. :D
